This notice explains how information is handled when you visit westerncanadacoatings.ca or contact us about a project.

Information you provide

Our enquiry form asks for your name and email address. You may also provide a phone number, the service you are interested in, how you heard about us and project details. We use this information to respond, discuss the work, arrange assessments and prepare estimates. Please avoid sending payment-card details, identification documents or other sensitive information through the form.

Enquiries and service providers

Form submissions are saved in our website database and sent to our business email inbox. The website also keeps email-delivery logs, including message content. Our website, hosting and email providers process information as part of operating these services. Information handled by service providers may be processed outside Canada.

Enquiry records, correspondence and website email logs remain in our systems unless removed. The website form and email logs do not currently have an automatic deletion period. Records relating to completed work may also need to be retained for business, accounting or legal requirements.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The website includes Google analytics and advertising tags, Google Tag Manager and Meta tracking code. These services may receive information such as pages visited, interactions, device and browser details, IP address and cookie identifiers. The purposes of these tools include measuring website use and advertising activity.

You can manage or block cookies in your browser and use the privacy and advertising controls offered by Google and Meta. Blocking cookies may affect some website features. See Google’s privacy policy and Meta’s privacy policy for information about their services.

ChatGPT advertising measurement

If you select Allow in our advertising measurement notice, we use the OpenAI measurement pixel to understand which visits lead to quote requests and assess our ChatGPT advertising. The pixel may send website events, browser and device information, advertising click references and cookie identifiers to OpenAI. Automatic advanced matching may detect contact details entered on our website, normalize and hash them in your browser, and send those hashes to help match an enquiry to an advertising interaction. Hashes are identifiers and should not be treated as anonymous information. OpenAI processes conversion data under its applicable advertising and privacy terms, including to measure and improve advertising services. See OpenAI’s privacy policy and Conversion Terms.

You can select Allow or Decline and change your choice using Ad privacy choices at the bottom of the page. Providing an enquiry does not require advertising measurement consent. This OpenAI measurement script loads only after you choose Allow. Declining or withdrawing consent stops future OpenAI measurement events from this integration and clears its attribution records and pixel cookies in this browser. These choices control this OpenAI integration; Google and Meta controls are described above.

We store your measurement choice and permitted advertising-source details in this browser for up to 30 days. The OpenAI pixel uses first-party cookies named __oppref (requested lifetime: 30 days after a click reference is captured) and __obref (requested lifetime: 365 days). Browser restrictions and clearing cookies can shorten those periods. These periods describe browser storage, not OpenAI’s retention of received data. Advertising-source details, your consent state and an enquiry reference may also be included in the enquiry stored by our website and sent to our business inbox, to connect enquiries with estimates and completed work.

Embedded content and links

Some pages include content from other services, such as YouTube videos. Loading or interacting with embedded content can allow that provider to collect information and use cookies under its own policies. Links to social profiles, reviews and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Please identify the enquiry or correspondence involved. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some records may need to be retained where required.
